Jan Decleir may be the best Belgian actor alive. He's quite famous : he starred in the
Academy Award-winning Antonia and Character (Karakter), two Dutch movies from the
nineties. THE Roger Ebert compared him to legendary American actors for his acclaimed
turn in the excellent 2003 thriller The Memory Of A Killer (De Zaak Alzheimer).
He turned down the role as a villain in The World Is Not Enough, claiming "I'd rather
be a bigshot in Belgium than a small shrimp in Hollywood". I disagree, of course.
An "eclair" is a sweet pastry.
